@baqui63
My hearing aids are Bluetooth capable so I can technically use them to listen to audio sources. My problem is I despise answering my phone on my hearing aids (or earbuds for that matter). Guess I should dig around the settings more and see if I can allow them to connect for audio sources but not phone calls.
Plus I frequently use a Bluetooth speaker in the house for background music. This would mean having to go in and change my setting to disconnect my hearing aids from the audio source each time I wanted to listen to the speakers. Much easier to just take out my hearing aids and use the earbuds (which will automatically disconnect when I put them back in the case to charge when I’m done using them).

Since I’m only listening to music while doing some other task when I use ear buds, lag has never been a problem for me. I can see how that would be very annoying though.
@NapkinEater That worked for one of my friends and their AirPods, but the smallest tips in the set were still ~30% too large to comfortably fit my ears when I tried.
I have found a couple of sets that fit decently. My biggest problem is that I frequently want to wear them when I’m using the mower. This includes using shooting range style (over ear) hearing protectors, and it’s always a crap shoot whether they’ll stay in my ears or fall out into the cups while I’m trying to put the ear pro on. Oh, and I have dropped one in the fish pond while I was cleaning it out (the pond, not the ear bud). Turns out that brand is NOT submersible.
Ear buds fall out of my ears way too easily, especially if I chew on something while they’re in my ears. I’ve also had an ear bud fall out but leave the pad in my ear. That was fun.
The preblem I’ve had wth my last two sets is they don’t turn off when put into the case and when they do they keep randomly turning on and reconnecting to my phone.
I’d try to watch a video or use voice to text and couldn’t figure out why it’s not working. Then I’d see the headphone had turned on and connected from inside their case.
Broke down and bought expensive airpod pros, must say that I love them. I am currently driving a vehicle every day that doesn’t have a radio, so I use my airpods every day.
Hmm, all these posts about earbuds with poor/uncomfortable fit lead me to believe that my long-held notion that I can’t wear them because my ears are non-standard may not be the case…
I’ve never found any earbuds that come close to being able to fit into my ears without causing bleeding.
@brennyn Mine don’t bleed because I yank those buds out before it gets that bad.
@brennyn Please tell me you’re being figurative
Do not fit well in my ears.
@hchavers Same here.
being earbuds.
not compatible with hearing aids and mostly suck as hearing aid replacements
Left one is always too big if right one fits. if left one fits, right one is too small.
rarely comfortable

@baqui63 Oh yeah! I should try different size pads on my left and right ear buds!
Bluetooth lag makes it seem like I’m interrupting people when I talk on conference calls. Sometimes I just don’t say anything because of that.

I don’t know. I have none.
For all those complaining about fit/comfort, I highly recommend buying the aftermarket foam tips. I wouldn’t use my earbuds without them.

@NapkinEater Yeah, better than the silicone for sure, but even those irritate the skin in my ears after a couple hours. Annoying…
Trying to talk to someone when they are wearing wireless earbuds. But I guess people don’t talk anymore so that’s my bad.

They don’t stay in my ears either.
